movies, they make me _______.

i brought two new movies today, and here’s how the story goes

The Rebel

i brought this because it was vietnam’s first box-office hit movie. Obviously i’m viet and you know, gotta show off that viet pride ehh? anywho, it was a decent movie. typical action scenes, romance and da di da di dah. but the female supporting actor, oh god. at first it seemed she was ok, a decently looking female. but after the shower scene it sorta revealed her in a new ‘gorgeous’ light.

but anywho i didn’t write this post to comment on this movie, it’s the second movie im more interested in

Intermission

after watching ‘the rebel’ i got drunk (not really) just a tad tipsy, and watched the lakers game. of course they win, beating oklahoma? i think, anyways go lakers. but it felt good, good indeed.

Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind

eternal sunshine

watching this for the second time in my life. well it can be called my first, since the real first time i watched this, it was in small snipets. but anywho, it unset a lot of mixed emotions. mainly happiness, sadness, and anger. the only anger i probably had with this movie was directed towards ‘the erasers’. effin elijah woods! if you watch the movie, you’ll hate him too. such sadness, even through the happy moments of the film. because in such reality of happiness that they have (in the memories) knowing that it’ll soon disappear from a viewer’s perspective creates that dreaded, “noo, don’t leave” thought.

it’s such an artistical wimsical film. the director’s a genious. the camera work is just unsurreal but surreal.

memories. some of them we wish to forget. some of them we wish to keep. memories are eternal.
